Nike - #AquiMeQuedo Social Campaign.
In 2021, while I working a stretch role for the Nike Marketing’s Social Media Team, I worked on a social campaign revolving around The Puerto Rican Day parade and the creation & release of the Nike Air Max ‘97 Puerto Rico’s. The task at hand was to design and create a campaign giving a nod to OG Nuyoricans and their experiences. The focus was to create and produce content that could only be made for and pay homage to the Puerto Rican people of New York. For this project, we collaborated with three Nuyorican artists - Ricky Flores, Edgar Santana, and Lee Jimenez - and through them we were able to tell the rich stories of Nuyorican creatives and their perspective on the culture. We also partnered with the East Harlem Tutorial Program to capture the essence and pride of younger Puerto Ricans living in New York and highlight their culture, stories, and experiences through art.
